About Whitman Walker Clinic Max Robinson Center
Whitman-Walker Clinic Max Robinson Center in Washington, DC opened this new facility in late 2023. They provide innovative comprehensive health care for the body and mind.
This includes behavioral health care treatment for addiction and substance abuse. It has urgent care called SMART Immediate care along with other needed health services like a dental health program, primary care services and an HIV/STI prevention and treatment clinic.
The behavioral health department has outpatient programs such as intensive outpatient substance use treatment services, psychiatry and group psychotherapy programs.
Integrated Brief Behavioral Treatment
The Integrated Brief Behavioral Treatment program helps primary care physicians and counselors or mental health professionals offer support to individuals experiencing behavioral health difficulties. This is a limited session treatment program that allows for three to four months of therapy.
Pairing Conventional and Holistic Treatment for Adults and Teens
There are outpatient addiction treatment programs and adolescent care for behavioral health. This also includes acupuncture, massage, yoga, physical and occupational therapy.
Medication assisted treatment and detox programs are a large part of the outpatient addiction treatment program here too. Therapy is evidence-based and is supervised and treatment is implemented by experienced, trained mental health and medical professionals.
