Medical Detox and Residential Treatment in Brooklyn
During medical detox, clients have access to medical care to help manage withdrawal symptoms, including approved medication. This can be vital for substances where withdrawal is dangerous and can lead to serious complications. This includes medication assisted treatment (MAT) with buprenorphine or Vivitrol.
During the residential treatment program, clients get 35 hours of treatment services each week, most of which is group therapy. There’s also 24 hour supervision and support. You can smoke, but only if you bring unopened packs.
The Seeking Safety program helps those who have significant trauma or PTSD stay focused on the present moment and build safety into their relationships, emotions, thinking, and behavior.
One unique part of the program is that they have open air walks each day on the rooftop, where you get great views of the city and the Statue of Liberty. They also allow you to use a personal iPad for recovery and entertainment.
