About SCADD
SCADD (Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence offers the Lebanon Pines Program “The Pines” in Lebanon, Connecticut. This is a nonprofit organization that is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. They are CARF accredited and LegitScript certified and are an HRSA National Health Service Corps site. They were voted a top workplace in the healthcare industry in 2024.
The center accepts many insurances. For those who are uninsured, a payment plan can be set up.
Intensive Residential Treatment for Men
The Pines offers a high intensity residential treatment program for men suffering from substance use disorder and suffering from co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients requiring medically managed detoxification will be referred to the New London SCADD facility.
Clients participate in group and individual counseling sessions. A specialized treatment plan is created for each client that specifies treatment for substance use, mental health and medication management. Medication assisted treatment is offered at all facilities.
The facility also offers primary care and Hepatitis C treatment for clients. At the end of treatment, the client will participate in discharge planning. After completion of treatment the client can benefit from onsite recovery meetings and peer support.
Transitional Low Intensity Residential Treatment
Clients who need additional support in recovery can choose to enter the low intensity residential transitional treatment program. A sober environment can prevent relapse while the client is integrating back into the workforce and community. These programs are offered in SCADD facilities in Norwich and New London.
Specialized Program for Recovering Fathers
SCADD partners with Madonna Place to offer the Fatherhood Initiative Program. This program improves the lives of children through education of responsible fatherhood to fathers in recovery. The program teaches fathers how to provide social, emotional, medical, educational and financial assistance to their children.
