About Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center
Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit that addresses substance abuse among adults. They're based in Richmond, Michigan. They’ve a residential program, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a standard outpatient program accessible onsite or virtually.
They can treat addiction to alcohol and most drugs and they provide medically monitored withdrawal management services to keep you safe during the detox process. They have medication assisted treatment (MAT) services available for adults experiencing addiction to opiates.
Care for Mothers of Young Children
Sacred Heart runs a specialty program called Clearview for pregnant persons and primary caregivers who have to bring young children with them for the duration of their treatment. Priority is given to mothers for admission to the program.
Children are looked after while their mothers attend one-on-one therapy sessions, group therapy, or parenting classes.
Programming with Opiate-Specific Education
Treatment at Sacred Heart involves individual and group therapy, educational sessions, peer support opportunities, specialty groups, and principles of the 12 Step program.
One specialty group provides education specific to opiate addictions. These sessions teach you about the ways opiates affect your body and the unique nature of opiate addiction. You’ll learn techniques for managing cravings and avoiding situations that put you at risk of relapse.
Master Treatment Plan That Evolves with You
When you first enter Sacred Heart, you’ll complete a bio-psycho-social assessment that gives the care team a clear understanding of where you’re at and what you need. Using the results of the assessment, they’ll work with you to create a master treatment plan that outlines your long term recovery journey. This includes different levels of care and types of therapy.
At each care level, you’ll evaluate your readiness level for the next phase in your treatment. Sacred Heart uses motivational interviewing techniques to help increase your readiness level.
What’s great about this plan is that it changes and adapts as you progress through treatment. You’ll frequently review and update the plan to make sure it still makes sense for you. You get the benefit of knowing what you’re aiming for without the risk of being stuck on a treatment trajectory that isn’t working for you.
