About Racing For Recovery
Racing for Recovery is a treatment facility in Holland, Ohio that specializes in programs and services for mental health and substance abuse disorders. Their mission since 2001 has been to help individuals live a substance free life by focusing on a new lifestyle of fitness and health.
The organization is accredited by CARF and was created by Todd Crandell, a professional counselor and a triathlete with over 120 Ironman races under his belt. The facility accepts all Ohio Medicaid plans as well as self pay. People with low income are encouraged to call them directly for financial assistance.
Fitness Centered Outpatient Addiction Treatment
Racing for Recovery offers different programs for every step of an individual's recovery journey. The intensive outpatient program includes one on one counseling sessions as well as group therapy. These sessions help patients get to the root of their addiction and create a support group of peers with similar disorders.
They also offer holistic therapies that include yoga, meditation and nutritional guidance which focuses on mind and body healing. Community engagement activities are provided and let patients unwind with peers playing pool, working out and having movie nights. The facility promotes family counselling sessions in order to help your family understand your situation and provide better support.
From Struggles to Strength: Aftercare Programs
The facility holds many aftercare programs and events for new patients, families and alumni. One of those events is called the Rockin Rossford 5k and Family Walk, which is an annual event in downtown Rossford that celebrates their commitment to sobriety.
