The clinic is certified by The Joint Commission and is an approved HRSA National Health Service Corps site. They offer individual, group and family counseling and educational groups for all ages.
Psychiatrists are available to provide medication assisted treatment (MAT). Telehealth services are available for those without transportation or unable to leave home.
Referrals for Substance Use Disorder Treatment
Substance use disorders are treated at the Hot Springs and Malvern offices. A referral to one of these clinics can be made by the Arkadelphia office.
An assessment is conducted to gather details about the client’s family, social life, employment, legal status, medical status and psychiatric status. This allows the clinicians to establish a treatment plan for the patient based on an addiction severity index (ASI).
Individual sessions provide education about the effects addiction has on the brain, body and behavior. The client will learn coping skills, how to identify and avoid triggers and how to reduce stress and anxiety.
Group therapy uses a trauma informed approach. Topics include preventing relapse, education in addiction, care after treatment, community resources for support and smoking cessation. This therapy is 15 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Treatment for Teens with Substance Use Disorder
These clinics also offer treatment for teens with substance use disorders. Teens are educated about the process of recovery. They receive motivational support from peers. Clinicians use therapeutic tools such as challenging irrational beliefs and discussing poor decision making to support behavioral changes. The families of the teens are educated about the recovery process.
DWI Services
The clinics contract with the Arkansas Department of Human Services to provide a drug alcohol safety education program (DASEP) for clients charged with DWI/DUI and minor possession of alcohol. DASEP and victim impact (VIP) classes are offered for Clark, Hot Springs, Garland, Montgomery, and Pike County offenders online via Zoom. DASEP is $150 and VIP is $40.
Convenient Locale in Arkadelphia
For those needing transportation, a transit station is a five minute walk from the clinic. After a therapy session a client may want to grab a cup of coffee from JavaPrimo Coffee House Café and More, just a quarter mile from the facility. Additionally, River Park is just over half a mile away and would be a prime spot for reflection, with walking trails and picnic areas.
