About New Prospects Bridgeport
New Prospects Bridgeport is one of the residential offerings under the Recovery Network of Programs in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It's a CARF-accredited intensive inpatient program that's meant to be short-term and is designed for adults who are 18 and older and dealing with substance dependence and psychiatric disorders. They help both men and women and have specialized programs for each.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
One of their key features is that they offer dual diagnosis enhanced treatment and hold the Level 3.7 Residential Enhanced status. I was surprised to find that this makes it the only coed facility in Connecticut that provides this level of care for individuals with co-occurring substance misuse and mental health disorders.
Co-Ed Residential Treatment
They offer a co-ed setting with both men and women. Their program provides private rooms and en suite bathrooms. The rooms are essentially like a dorm room, but you’ll still have plenty of privacy.
They offer a range of therapeutic modalities including individual therapy, group counseling and family counseling, as well as case management services. They take holistic approaches as well and offer more than just traditional therapies. I also found that they can assist clients with housing, employment resources and access to social services such as child care or getting help with transportation.
Priority for Vulnerable Populations
Something else you'll find interesting about this clinic is that they have priority admission for pregnant and postpartum women and those with infectious diseases, such as HIV or hepatitis C. These individuals can bypass waitlists and get quicker access to care.
