About Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center
The Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center (MDATC) is a multifaceted substance use disorder (SUD) rehabilitation program providing care in Biloxi, Mississippi. It provides comprehensive care which includes detox, inpatient and outpatient programs, and supportive aftercare services to help you maintain your newfound sobriety.
MDATC also offers a military program which is designed to target the specific needs the military community may face when dealing with addiction.
Safe Detox Care
With more serious addiction, trying to quit substances alone can be dangerous. Medication assisted detox (MAT) programs like the one offered at MDATC can help you safely reduce and eliminate your reliance on alcohol or drugs. Depending on the substances you’ve been using, your medical team will recommend the right medication to help control symptoms.
While the average detox period lasts for five to seven days, some people may have longer or shorter time frames depending on your individual case parameters.
Residential Treatment
While detox services are usually recommended as a residential procedure, you don’t need to participate in detox to take advantage of MDATC’s residential program. Instead, this is mainly intended to provide a safe environment for people to prioritize their sobriety while receiving counseling services to rebuild their lives. Most people will participate between 30 to 90 days with the option to step down to outpatient programs once the residential program is complete.
Outpatient Programs to Support Your Journey
MDATC offers two core outpatient programs, partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP). PHP is ideal for people who want an immersive daily counseling environment but the option to return to their homes at the end of the day. Meanwhile, IOP is less strict and usually only meets a few times a week for a few hours.
In both scenarios, dual diagnosis care is still offered as well as comprehensive counseling support. But IOPs are ideal for people that need to fulfill work or school obligations. MDATC accepts most major insurance and TriCare.
