About McLean Hospital Belmont Campus
Mass General Brigham McLean Psychiatric Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts is one of the best-known mental health facilities in the world. It has been providing care in collaboration with Harvard Medical School for over 200 years.
There are several programs from short stay detoxification units to 24/7 supportive residential care. The comprehensive care provided includes evidence-based therapy that addresses physical, spiritual, and mental factors of addiction. Along with detox and inpatient rehab, they have outpatient programs and partial hospitalization as well as crisis intervention and other therapeutic programs. There are programs for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
This is the main campus of McLean Hospital and it houses several mental health clinical, research and training facilities. They treat addiction, behavioral and mental health conditions with traditional therapies as well as innovative and experiential therapy models.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care
There is a partial hospitalization program here for teens aged 13 to 19 who are struggling with mental health issues, including addiction. Younger children can receive treatment in a similar program at the Cambridge campus. There is also the McLean-Franciscan Child and Adolescent Inpatient program located in Brighton for those who need 24 hour a day care and support.
Treatment includes evidence-based models such as cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, experiential and creative therapies. They also provide education, life skills and goal setting.
Adult Programs for Addiction Recovery
Adult programs at Belmont Campus that help addiction include a short-term detox program that provides 24/7 medical supervision and care with medication assisted treatment for detoxification. After detox, most patients enter an inpatient, residential or partial hospitalization program to address the myriad components of addiction and recovery. All of these services are offered here as well as after care and sober living options.
There is a program designed specifically for first responders, military members and veterans too.
