About MCCA Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism McDonough House
MCCA Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism McDonough House has a mission to help individuals, families and organizations overcome and prevent addiction. MCCA has seven locations including this Danbury, Connecticut, outpatient clinic. This facility is tucked away in a tree-lined street with a discreet entrance and parking lot and entrance that isn’t visible from the street.
MCCA outpatient clinics offer flexible programming that can address issues such as anger management and relapse prevention. They have open access one day a week where people can walk in and get seen by a therapist that same day.
Outpatient Addiction Support in Danbury
MCCA’s Danbury outpatient clinic provides a range of services for people dealing with addiction. These supportive therapies are designed to help each client recognize their individual triggers and their destructive behavior so they can make positive changes that lead to a healthy lifestyle.
Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is ideal for folks who can’t participate in a residential program due to responsibilities at home or work. This group meets three times a week for three hours each time. I like that they offer both daytime and evening options to accommodate most schedules. I also appreciate that they have a Spanish IOP that runs three times a week as well as gender-specific groups.
Gambling, Anger Management and DWI Programs
MCAA at Danbury provides a Bettor Choice Gambling Program to support folks who are concerned with their gambling habits. Adults can also access pretrial intervention programs such as DWI and DUI impaired driver programs. Their anger management program can also be combined with their other offerings if needed.
