About Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders
Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders offers an array of treatment programs for women recovering from mental health issues, co-occurring substance abuse and eating disorders. Providing several levels of care at this facility in Columbiana, Alabama, they offer residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program, a transitional living program and aftercare. A specialized residential treatment program is available for teen girls.
A Home-Like Environment Located in Nature
Magnolia Creek is set on 36 acres overlooking a pond, where women who attend treatment can connect to nature. There are hiking trails, a recovery garden, a private lake and outdoor therapy areas.
Treatment is individualized and addresses all aspects of healing including mental health. Through experiential, group and individual therapy, you can reach your recovery goals and establish new healthy routines. You may participate in mindfulness, family therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Teen-Specific Programming
For teens aged 12 through 17, the adolescent program provides a separate cottage for living and treatment. Licensed educators work with the local school systems to ensure teens are receiving the proper school elements during treatment. A robust family component provides education, advocacy, and therapy for family members of the person receiving treatment. The girls’ personalities, history and goals are taken into account when a treatment plan is created.
Transitional Living to Ensure Success
After graduating from treatment, you’ll be invited into the transitional program which includes additional support and ongoing counseling. This program promotes stability and independent living. You may want to attend Magnolia Creek’s partial hospitalization program while you’re in transitional living.
