About Liberation Programs Stamford Inpatient and Outpatient Services
Liberation Programs Stamford in Stamford, Connecticut, provides outpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for youth, adults and families. They are CARF accredited, are a HRSA National Health Service Corps site, and are approved by the Greenwich Department of Human Services. The clinic specializes in alcohol, opiates, depressants, prescription drug and stimulant abuse disorders.
They offer naloxone (Narcan) training virtually and in person. Each participant receives free Narcan.
The clinic accepts many insurances and offers scholarships for clients with opioid use disorder (OUD). Services will be provided regardless of a client’s ability to pay.
Outpatient Services
Outpatient services are available six days per week. These services include individual, group, and family counseling, support groups, an IOP, relapse prevention treatment and mental health services. Medication assisted treatment is available with buprenorphine, Vivitrol and methadone being prescribed.
Outreach vans travel seven days per week and are available with a phone call. Services provided include treatment referrals, prescriptions, Narcan, syringe exchange, educational resources and access to a recovery coach.
Treatment Programs at Other Locations
Pregnant or parenting women with children needing inpatient treatment can be referred to the Norwalk location for the Families in Recovery Program (FIRP). The Liberation House in Stamford provides inpatient treatment for men.
Gini’s House in Norwalk provides housing for families who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Residents are connected to resources to continue their education, find employment and access resources for daily living.
A woman's REACH Program provides outreach to pregnant and parenting women with substance use or co-occurring disorders. Outreach is also provided to parenting and expecting fathers, grandparents, LGBTQIA+ individuals, partners of clients, and other immediate family or support persons who have been affected by substance use. Referrals for loved ones are encouraged.
Accessible Recovery in Stamford
For those needing transportation, a bus stop is within a three minute walk. Several restaurants are within walking distance including the Patio Café, an American eatery. Mill River Park is a five minute walk and offers an area of reflection and connection with nature. The park offers bike and pedestrian paths, a pavilion and a fountain.
