About Instar Community Services
Instar Community Services is located in a suburban corner of Helena, Montana. They offer outpatient care for individuals with substance misuse disorders. I was impressed with their variety that ranges from relapse prevention education to court-ordered treatment.
Starting Recovery
We'll start with the basics, such as the fact that they offer individual counseling, group counseling, and family counseling, covering all ground. They do chemical dependency assessments in order to evaluate you personally and figure out any physical or behavioral signs of addiction that you may have. Their court-ordered treatment can help you get treatment if you've been ordered by the court to do so and need help navigating the legal process.
They even help those with gambling disorders and can assist with riskier compulsive gambling behaviors.
Transitional Living Program
Their transitional living program is something else offered above their outpatient services and includes a licensed residential recovery community with 12 beds for men who are dealing with addiction or mental health conditions. They use the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and SMART Recovery as some of their evidence-based practices, and they always emphasize that recovery is possible for anyone seeking it.
