About Harbor Recovery Center—Fort Smith Men’s Facility
Harbor House Recovery Center (HRC) is a men’s residential treatment facility for substance abuse. They work with males 18 and older, providing comprehensive addiction care in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Gender-Specific Care
Since Harbor House Recovery Center only accepts men at their Fort Smith location, they can focus on the unique needs they may face when experiencing addiction. They work on individualized goals and allow the time men need to recover without a standard length of stay for each resident.
They incorporate the 12 Step principles into treatment to help clients work through past struggles and accept accountability for their actions and recovery.
Holistic Programs in Fort Smith
HRC believes in holistic methods to help guests heal and recover. They offer parenting and anger management classes, financial groups, education resources, and holistic practices for stress reduction, like yoga. Life skills training is also available to prepare residents for successful sobriety after treatment with coping methods to avoid substance use triggers.
Another feature of the HRC program is the value placed on community support. They provide opportunities for guests to attend on- and off-site recovery meetings, such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. The personalized treatment includes clients having a counselor who works as a recovery coach to help guide their treatment plan.
The team wants to help all residents regain control of their lives with tools to maintain long-term recovery. Men who complete treatment may be referred to their transitional living program, where they can reside for up to 18 months while gaining independence and continuing their sobriety journey.
