About Guidance Center of Lea County
New Mexico's only certified trauma-informed care center is the guidance center of Lee County and is located in Hobbs, New Mexico. This facility follows the sanctuary model of treatment so that clients feel empowered, safe and heard. Adults and minors can come to this clinic to break free from their addictions or are seeking mental health support.
They make it easier to join because they accept a lot of payment options, including Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare and private insurance. Additionally, some programs and services may be covered by their payment assistant program.
Taking the LEAD
The outpatient treatment program offers flexible treatment options that are perfect for patients that want to receive help while still dealing with their daily responsibilities. A very unique program offered at this facility is the LEAD Program. Police officers are part of the intervention team to direct clients to treatment options before their addictions escalate. That way, they don’t become entangled in the criminal justice system and endanger themselves or their loved ones.
Lots of Support Programs
I’m impressed that they have many peer and community programs to choose from. Depending on what you need, there’s help with transitional housing, wraparound care for families, and primary services to keep your health on track. That way, there’s less of a chance for a relapse.
