About Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS)
Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS) has three treatment locations in New York, including this outpatient and opioid program in Ithaca. They provide medication assisted treatment (MAT), therapy and case management. CARS accepts walk-ins at the Ithaca location during business hours.
The clinic can take Medicaid and most major insurance plans. There is also a sliding fee scale for uninsured clients, or they can help you apply for Medicaid.
Outpatient Treatment and MAT Services in Ithaca
The treatment program at the Ithaca clinic includes evaluations, individual and group therapy and approved medication. The MAT medications available include Suboxone, buprenorphine and naltrexone.
The wide range of group counseling options makes this program unique. They have groups for relapse prevention, anger management, codependency and sober activities. They also have gender specific groups and options called Peace After the Storm and Freedom Thinkers.
CARS also provides peer support and case management services to help clients move from addiction into a stable recovery. Case managers can connect you to job training and assistance, educational support and medical care. There are also community resources that can help with housing and other basic needs.
