Adult Residential and Outpatient Treatment
Addictions can be linked to a variety of substances that include not just alcohol and drugs but even nicotine and even gambling. While many people can achieve recovery through outpatient solutions, some people may find better care with a residential treatment program which is more structured. However, CADS also provides medication assisted treatments (MAT) especially for people who need help weaning off of substances and avoiding harmful withdrawal symptoms.
Halfway House Support & Aftercare in Iowa
Getting clean is about more than simply avoiding substances. Some folks need to shift into a substance free environment to better focus on their recovery. However, this service is only offered in the four Iowa facilities and not in Illinois.
Getting initially sober is just part of the struggle many people will experience. For others, learning to navigate life without relying on substances can be tough, which is why aftercare is so important. CADS offers continuing care where people have access to counseling and are connected to other local programs that can support sustained sobriety.
CADS is part of the Iowa Department of Public Health with services funded through that department. Contact your patient care advocate for full details on accepted insurances or available financial aid.
