About Anniston Fellowship House
The Anniston Fellowship House in Anniston, Alabama, is a halfway house for men. They’re funded by ADMH State and Block grants. Insurances accepted include Medicaid, Medicare, other state insurance plans, private insurances, military insurances, Access to Recovery vouchers, and U.S. Department of VA Funds.
There’s a sliding fee scale and payment assistance available to those without insurance. Residents are assisted in procuring employment.
Treatment and Services for Residents of the Halfway House
The house provides long term residential rehab and treatment for men suffering from drug or alcohol use. Substance use and mental health screening is part of the intake process.
Residents receive five hours of classes in substance abuse and sober living treatment each week. Psychological examinations are provided for the residents. They’re required to attend weekly Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
Detox is offered for alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, buprenorphine, methamphetamines, methadone, and opioids. Residents with alcohol and/or drug use disorder receive treatment and treatment is also available for those with co-occurring mental health disorders.
This location accepts all LGBT+ clients, veterans, active duty military, seniors, those diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, and clients referred from the court judicial system. Services are available for the hearing impaired. Transportation assistance is provided for residents.
Aftercare services include relapse prevention treatment, assistance obtaining social services and child care, legal advocacy, and self help groups. Also offered is individual, group, and family counseling.
Other Anniston Locations with Alternative Services
Other Anniston Fellowship locations accept women, transitional age young adults, and pregnant and postpartum women. There is a residential treatment center available for children, an outpatient detox center, several regular outpatient treatment facilities, and clinics that offer partial hospitalization (PHP).
Some locations serve clients who are court ordered to have outpatient treatment and also provide drug or alcohol urine screening. The Anniston location can provide a referral if needed.
